The Lone Twin

Using John Bowlby's Attachment Theory as her conceptual base and illustrated by the words of lone twins themselves, the author takes the reader through the closeness of being a twin, including its negative aspects and their need to be different from each other. The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) was founded in 1960 for the purpose of promoting the special aspects of child development which relate specifically to multiple birth children.
NOMOTC is a network of some 475 local clubs representing over 21,000 individual parents of multiples -- twins, triplets and quadruplets. Our goal is to improve public awareness of the needs of multiple birth children by fostering development of local support groups, enhancing the quality of educational materials available to parents, educators and others and by cooperating with and participating in research projects which involve twins and/or their families. Open every week, we are a self help group and always open to new ideas and suggestions. We are very lucky to have a health Visitor come to the club every 2 weeks.

This site is for twins that lost a twin(s) & parents of twins. The bond between twins is very outstanding, almost nothing can break this bond.
Twins lose each other in many ways. Some ways are through estrangement, death, murder, suicide, & separation. Some twins even lose their twin before/during birth. The loss of a twin before birth is called Invisible Twin Syndrome, this is caused by a miscarriage. So, there maybe more Twinless Twins out there.
